VICE DIRECTOR FOR THE PROGRAMMING, DEVELOPMENT AND DIFFUSION OF THE CIRCUS ART

(FULL TIME AND PERMANENT POSITION)

Driven by values such as respect, solidarity, boldness and pleasure, the TOHU is looking forward to find someone whom will be able to face challenges affecting circus art development and diffusion all year around. By his work, this person will contribute to the exposure of the company toward the circus community and the general public.

MAIN MISSIONS:

Reporting to the Programming’s General Director, the holder ensures the following mandates:

Programming and diffusion of circus arts:
− Contribute to business and strategic development
− Define the main orientations of circus programming.
− Supervise and coordinate programming activities and projects research
− Watch over the organization and the coordination off all projects
− Make sure that deadlines and budget are respected

Promotion, business development and partnerships:
− Support the international development of circus art by making promotional activities, networking, workshop and professional services by MICC (Marché International de Cirque Contemporain)
− Develop relations with partners
− Mobilize teams about the circus programming
− Negotiate and implant various agreements
− Support the discipline and the development by the creation, the production and the athletes training
− Represent the TOHU at various events.

Management:
− Develop and manage the budget of the department
− Team building
− Endowment

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS
− At least 8 years of experience in the field (promotion, development of arts diffusion, festivals, partnership…)
− At least 5 years of experience in the international art industry.
− Excellent knowledge of contemporary art circus around the world
− Knowledge of North-America’s diffusion network.
− An already establish network in this field.
− Bachelor degree in stage art.
− Relevant experience in team coaching
− Budget management skills.
− Proficient writing and speaking skills in: English and Spanish
− Oral ability to speak French required.

CONDITIONS
− Start date : Immediately
− schedule : 40h/week
− Must be available to work during the week-end and evenings.
− Salary : 70 000$ to 80 0000$ (Canadian dollar)
