With an aesthetic both minimalist and surrealist, Montréal artist Camille Picher creates playful, sometimes humorous pieces. Her use of colours is remarkable; admiring her bright coloured works, one can’t help but think of the fauvism movement. In her exhibition Pl(a)yground, she tackles children’s play and childhood. Each panel is a dreamlike depiction, an invitation into a fantasy-filled world. The artist salutes all of those who have always seemed to go against the current. Those creators who broke new grounds using their imaginary, the misunderstood… exceptionally daring people. »
