From January to March (According to the weather conditions) At Frédéric-Back park

The ideal destination for winter lovers!

From January 11 to March 8, 2020, enjoy a 5.5 km marked cross-country ski trail in Frédéric-Back Park. The trail also welcomes snowshoe hikers.

Loan of skis and snowshoes

Every Saturday and Sunday from January 11 to March 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in addition to March 2 to 6 during the school break.

The last loan is at 3 p.m.

**Introduction to cross-country skiing for children* (6 to 13 years old) **

Sundays from January 12 to March 8, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., in addition to March 3 to 6 during the school break, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  • Note that children are taken care of by the instructor. Parents can watch, but do not participate in the activity.

ON RESERVATION

Introduction to cross-country skiing for adults (14 and over)

Sundays from January 12 to March 8 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

8 participants per group.

ON RESERVATION (In the 10 days preceding the activity and from February 17, 10:00 am for School Break)

Guided snowshoe hikes (6 and over)

Sundays from January 12 to March 8 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in addition to March 3 to 6 during the school break.

20 participants per group.

Reception for equipment loan and the starting point for activities will be at the trailer located near the Eco-Center, at 2475 rue des Regrattiers (at the corner of rue Paul-Boutet)

IMPORTANT!

*Activities will be canceled if :

• The wind chill factor goes lowers than -28 ° C ;

• Freezing rain makes the surface slippery and impractical;

• A rise in temperature makes the surface impracticable and could damage the equipment   

** PREPARE YOUR VISIT! **

• There is no drinking water in the park, remember to bring your water bottle!

• Provide a padlock to secure your personal belongings in the lockers.

• Also provide a container or bag to dispose of your waste, knowing that the park does not have garbage cans.

• The nearest toilet is located in the TOHU.

• When choosing your clothes, consider the high wind level in the park.

• Enjoy your trip!
