When he put on L’Immédiat at TOHU in 2015, Camille Boitel had all of Montreal under his spell. This time around, he’s inviting us to La Chapelle Scènes Comtemporaines, for an unbridled burlesque show where the simplest of acts get complicated to the extreme. Inspired by archaic circus acts, fairground theatre and burlesque cinema, Camille Boitel has created a show at the crossroads of performance art, avant-garde circus and object theatre. One thing is certain: his virtuosic agility and desperate battle make for intense poetic jubilation.
This first co-production with La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines was born of the natural ties between these two organizations. We welcome this new collaboration with great enthusiasm.
