NYX

Nyx is the goddess of night, the mother of death, dreams and the weavers of destiny. Director Johanne Madore was inspired by her grandmother, who died at 106, a seamstress, storyteller, protector and guide, offering wisdom and knowledge. From then on, the grandmother and goddess become one, representing the duality of life and death, dream and reality, shadow and light. All these elements intertwine in a sensual, organic circus fable, performed solely by women, telling the story of an initiatory quest for nature, the spiritual and the sacred feminine.

About Le Collectif Chimère

Collectif Chimère is a beast that molts and hybridizes, bringing together and assembling in the same body a plurality of practices, artistic and otherwise, of beings probing the different universes that our intuitions say are connected. Nourishing these connections through attention, listening and dreaming, we build new poetic orders, reinventions of the sensible that enable new arrangements, new configurations, to express a complex and re-enchanted relationship with the world.

Collectif Chimère is the result of a long-standing interdisciplinary collaboration between Johanne Madore and Pierre Przysiezniak, who have been working - beyond the breathing of their personal experiences - on cross-fertilizations, stage creations, laboratories and installations (Antennaë, Les mandalas du désir, Le corps conteur, Nous étions dans bien étrange paradis, etc.) around the two axes of fine bodily awareness and immersive material consciousness.
