TOHU offers creative kits to keep you entertained in the comfort of your own home during spring break! These workshops, all designed by professional artists, will introduce you to an artistic practice as well as a cultural facet.
How does it work? Following your registration, instructions and basic materials will be sent to you the week of February 22nd. Only objects that you will be able to find in your recycling bin as well as some supplies (pencils, scissors, glue, etc.) will be necessary.
Create a green and dancing pop-up with simple materials for a more than astonishing result with the help of the artist Simone, who will present her BOTANIQUE exhibition at TOHU in 2022. Your pop-up could be part of the exhibition, don't miss it!
Julie Desquand, alias Simone, began her work as a painter in 2004 when she settled in Senegal, through a painting inspired by the daily life of a West African capital. Upon her arrival in Canada in 2012, her approach evolves towards unique impressions on paper, where drawing mixes with painting, drawn monotypes. Back in France, this work continues on the walls of the city. By prolonging there the already existing traces and forms and by bringing back to life plants and animals, Simone strives to bring back to life this nature of which we are all part, which allows us to escape, makes us feel good and soothes us.
