The circus has long fascinated young and old alike, but it also inspires artists from the most anonymous to the greatest. Art often represents the public's amused and fascinated viewpoint, but it also shows us the circus from the inside, its backstage, its artisans and their daily lives. Through the works presented in the permanent exhibition L'art... du cirque, we understand above all the importance of this direct relationship between the audience and the artists, as part of a live performance, a unique and shared moment.
