ENTERTAINMENT AND SHOW DESCRIPTIONS :

Themed flights of giant kites
Immense flying structures handled by professionals will fill the park's skies with different themes.

Kite-making workshops
For ages 7 to 77. With the help of professionals, each participant will build a kite in his or her own image, and then fly it around the park.

Demonstration flight of artistic and acrobatic kites
Experienced professionals will demonstrate their skills by performing figures and acrobatics as a team, while others will fly unique creations. These kite flyers will come from Quebec, Canada, the United States, Switzerland and Austria.

Rokkaku battles
Kite flyers will battle it out in the sky with traditional Korean kites, the famous rokkaku, hexagonal kites that are slightly longer than they are wide, guided by a single line and not very controllable.

Flying by night
Specially made for this purpose, the kites will take to the air at nightfall to perform an aerial ballet to the sound of music and lighting to highlight them.  In the weeks leading up to the Grain de ciel festival, La TOHU - Welcome Pavillon in Frédéric-Back Park - will be offering kite-making workshops for Saint-Michel residents.

Kite loans
The public will be able to borrow a kite free of charge, and can count on the assistance of qualified personnel if needed to learn how to fly.

Introductory flying sessions
Experienced professionals will demonstrate their skills by performing figures and acrobatics as a team.  This will also be an opportunity for the public to try their hand at flying.

Avant de devenir un arbre show by La Fille du Laitier
"Avant de devenir un arbre" is a tragi-comedy about ADA's fabulous journey, which is turned upside down by the encounter with a glitch, causing her to quietly lose the use of her precious hands. Using the theme of illness, the show takes a poetic approach to childhood resilience, through playful tableaux combining image theater and object theater. In a delivery truck transformed into a space that could be a workshop or even a hospital room, we follow the character from the announcement of his diagnosis to the acceptance stage.

O.V.N.I.  show
O.V.N.I. embodies a unique intergalactic experience, where a family of aliens on vacation stop off on our planet to discover its Wonders.  They embody the fundamental values of La TOHU, promoting environmental protection through their inquisitive view of nature, and their respectful approach to interstellar travel. At the heart of the O.V.N.I. project lies the promotion of activities in Frédéric-Back Park.

Circus show
The all-female Korean board duo Vol au vent is made up of Lilyclaire Major and Clara Laurent. In their act, combining light, lightness, color and humor, they bring together the different elements to create the atmosphere of a sisterly connection. Together, they express their vulnerability, support and bond, creating a feeling of freshness and flying in the wind.

Feeling hungry?
La TOHU's bistro will be serving paninis, snacks and drinks (lemonade, iced coffee). And don't forget to picnic in the park, where our shaded areas will be set up especially for the occasion.

These free activities are presented thanks to the financial contribution of the Ville de Montréal.
