Have you always dreamed of attending the filming of a television show? Well, here's your chance!
Théâtre à Tempo's new creation takes you to the set of a 1960s television station. You will be welcomed with open arms by the crowd warmer and charmed by the team of seasoned actors. From superheroes to Tarzan to culinary chronicles, they will dazzle you with their many talents.
Navigating their way around cameras, microphones, spotlights, and other props, they are directed by the renowned (and somewhat vain) director. The stars are also accompanied by a team of technicians dedicated to more or less conventional and truly acrobatic techniques.
Founded in 2008, Théâtre à Tempo is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create and produce multidisciplinary shows. Its creations give pride of place to the circus arts (particularly clowning), music, movement, and body percussion. The company calls on professional artists and designers to create and produce its shows. On occasion, Théâtre à Tempo may offer training services to schools, community organizations, or other arts companies. Théâtre à Tempo's creations can be performed indoors or outdoors in the form of fixed shows, traveling shows, or urban entertainment.
At the heart of our creations is the pure and simple pleasure of performing. It is a joy that takes us back to our naive and curious childhood. The narrative threads of our shows, which are both funny and touching, are nourished by this vulnerability, this awkwardness in the face of different everyday situations, which sometimes turn us into clowns despite ourselves. Like a silent film, our creations charm audiences without the use of words.
Then there is our love of sounds. The sounds we create by hitting, plucking, rubbing, anything and everything. The sounds that give old, abandoned objects a second life.
In our shows, music reinforces and punctuates the physical acting of the characters. Performed live, halfway between sound effects and soundtrack, it supports and carries the emotional discourse of the artists. The laughter and bursts of laughter from the audience complement this music. This sensitive conversation between the artist and the audience offers them both a unique and palpable experience.
Our productions are aimed at a wide audience, charming both children and their parents with their humor, which can be interpreted on different levels.
