"When gothic meets groove: a Dracula to die for!"
A New Vision of a Classic. Dracula reinvents the legendary vampire saga with a darker, more visceral, and modern approach, blending suspense, sensuality, horror… and a good dose of dark humor. Prepare for an immersive experience where love, obsession, and terror intertwine in ways you never imagined. This bold adaptation explores human fragility and the price of immortality, all wrapped in a visually stunning package. Directed by the extraordinary Hugo Bélanger, the production promises a cast that will make you laugh, gasp, and probably question your life choices. The actors? Well, they prefer to stay in the shadows, just like creatures of the night. Who will dare to take on these iconic roles? Stay tuned… because, like any good vampire, they won’t reveal themselves until after their midnight snack. A show with jaw-dropping visuals, an enchanting soundtrack, and a sense of humor so dark you might just need a flashlight. Dare to be bitten—it's all in good fun.
Hugo Bélanger will direct this exciting and unexpected production of Dracula. Hugo's talent for blending drama, humor and visual storytelling is sure to make this version unforgettable. He's the perfect person to make this dark comedy the event of the season!
Director, author, adaptor, teacher and artistic director of Tout à Trac since 1998, Hugo Bélanger explores the imaginary in the theater through his work with masks, storytelling and puppetry. He has created several award-winning shows, including a Masque in 2006. His productions of Alice in Wonderland and Pinocchio are regularly presented in America, Asia and the Middle East. In 2019, he creates Cirque du Soleil's first permanent show in China in a high-tech theater specially designed for the project. This will be Cirque du Soleil's biggest show to date. He also directed the latest shows by comedian André Sauvé (ÇA) and illusionist Luc Langevin (Vérités). In 2023, the TNM welcomed his original creation, Le Rêveur dans son bain, a show he wrote and directed that won 3 Gascon-Roux awards. He also won the Prix de la Critique for best show for young audiences in 2023 for his creation Alice de l'autre côté.
