Claudio Capelli, an internationally renowned artist and kite maker, is the guest of honour of the 2026 edition of the major Grain de ciel festival. Trained in fine arts in Italy, he has spent more than forty years transforming the sky into a space for artistic expression, reimagining the Japanese Edo and Rokkaku kite traditions through his figurative artworks. His monumental portraits, carried by the wind, create a unique visual experience in which the works themselves seem to gaze down upon the audience from above.

A pioneer of kite art and founder of the international ARTEVENTO festival, Claudio Capelli explores the dialogue between painting, movement, and public space. The exhibition Grain de ciel - Les jeux du ciel invites visitors into a poetic world where the sky becomes an open-air gallery and artworks take flight.

The exhibition is presented at TOHU from August 14 to October 18, 2026.
