Scientists believe that it is the quest for a better world that keeps us alive. The worst-case scenario would be reaching our goals without finding a new goal to pursue. Circus artists often strive to achieve the impossible. Is the pursuit of the impossible the path to happiness? Aiming for peace on Earth—is that aiming for the impossible?
Can effort itself make a difference? Is it possible to make peace?
In this poetic circus show, filled with wool, tangles, ropes, and threads, the artists try to knit their way toward peace. Five circus artists create a magically beautiful universe made of ropes and threads. Come let yourself be carried away by enigmatic music, sensitive poetry, and an intense search for meaning.
★★★★½ « Breakneck poetry in a homespun world. A charming and sympathetic work where the whole trumps the individual efforts – like stitches in a knitted piece. »
Founded in 1995, Cirkus Cirkör is today the largest circus company in the Nordic countries. Our work includes tours in Sweden and internationally, workshops and educational programs for all ages, a specialized high school circus program, corporate events, and many collaborative projects.
Cirkus Cirkör embodies a vision of how the arts can influence, evolve, and transform the world. With curiosity, humor, and courage, we explore the diversity and limits of circus arts. Cirkus Cirkör is a platform where different artistic practices thrive and surprise. We work with numerous partners and use circus as a way to uplift and inspire people.
