A poetic vision of the future that examines our present through the lens of a controlled future.

In a cold world where machines dominate conformist beings, angels fallen from the sky wander, trapped in the irony of a metallic and oppressive universe. They yearn to rise above their cramped surroundings, while nature has lost its rights, beneath a gray sky and scorched earth. But the desire to live and resist remains stronger than anything else.

Between conformity, submission, and the impulse toward freedom, a breach opens: that of a possible flight.

At the crossroads of circus, dance, theater, and cinema, Raphaëlle Boitel creates a work of great visual power. The Chinese pole, acrobatics, and aerial feats embody a sensitive struggle for emancipation.

An ode to freedom, a journey through dark fantasy and cruel humor, this creation becomes a song of resistance: a breath of fresh air, an escape toward the light.

About La Cie L’Oublié(e)

Founded in 2012 in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Cie L’Oublié(e) is led by director and choreographer Raphaëlle Boitel. Her artistic approach is characterized by a powerful physical language set within a distinctive visual world where light plays a central role. At the intersection of circus, dance, theater, music, and film, the company creates works accessible to all, blending tragedy and comedy in a poetic and metaphorical style.

The company’s work is also characterized by the creation of original apparatus, particularly in aerial arts, revitalizing traditional circus disciplines. Since its founding, it has created several landmark shows, including L’Oublié(e), La Bête noire, La Chute des anges, and Horizon.

Trained in theater at a very young age and later at the École Fratellini, Raphaëlle Boitel collaborated with James Thierrée for over ten years before founding her own company. Since then, she has developed a multidisciplinary style exploring themes such as resilience, perseverance, and human nature. In parallel, she also creates choreographies for opera and brings her work to historic sites with site-specific creations, while continuing her artistic exploration of both spectacular forms and more intimate projects.
