Trained in Lausanne (École de danse Rudra-Béjart) and London (Circus Space), Anthony Venisse is an National circus school graduate, specialized in swinging trapeze and clown art. Henceforth, he hit the stage as an acrobat and clown. He swings and spins for company Tout fou tout fly, and plays a manic theatre director for the Daredevil Opera Company. Music also plays a big role in his life, after studying the piano for ten years. He produced in 2007 his own one-clown-show, Le Concierge, focusing on his music instrument. Since 2010, Anthony creates and directs the popular Minutes Complètement Cirque, a concept which continues to develop throughout the years, as well as major shows Duels, Fracas, Rouge and Phénix performed at place Émilie-Gamelin every year. He also directed for the ÉNC as well as GOP-Variete cabarets (Germany), in addition to being an artistic trainer and choreographer for Cirque du Soleil. Anthony Venisse has created, with his sister Amélie, a clown duo combining music and magic.
At 20 years old, Quentin subscribed to the teachings of saxophonists Sylvain Beuf and Olivier Py. Since 2006, he pursues a professional career, performing numerous music concerts and working on circus shows in Germany for several years. The experience brought him to introduce computer-aided musical devices for which he trained in Paris. His passion for travelling and his musical encounters led him to world traditional music repertoires, especially Serbian, Bulgarian and Turkish.
"[...] giggles of amazement, exclamations of stupor and ovations felt"
Journal de Montréal
"[...] an excellent initiative of TOHU, which has taken up the formula of the major circus festivals in a pretty way. A great way to shine the spotlight on acts that deserve to be taken out of context."
