To mark Black History Month, TOHU is proud to welcome Maison d'Haïti for this tribute to a great man of letters and ideas, author and activist Jacques Roumain (1907-1944), through works by Geneviève Iris Lahens, Valérie Gassien, Stéphane Martelly, Léonel Jules, Peddy Multidor and Olivier Vilaire « Oski ». Through painting, collage and photography, the exhibition offers a rereading of the themes essential to Jacques Roumain's work: the struggle for social justice, resilience in the face of adversity and the profound quest for a Haitian identity.
